I’ll Be Honest…
Over the past few days I've been reading Proverbs 10 and verse 11 really stood out to me and it pretty much says "The words of the godly lead to life..."
If you've been following my blog you'd notice some inconsistency with how often I post and it has been stressing me. I have big plans for my blog and sincere prayers of what I want my blog to be. I started this blog with very little structure or idea of what it can become, next year, I would have had my blog for five years, and it's only now that I've gotten my focus. It is the verse above.
The verse really encouraged me, as opposed to convicting me, it brought reassurance that my words are worthwhile. They are worth writing, they are worth reading and they are worth being heard.
So today, I really dedicate my blog back to God. I've done a lot of this blog out of my own strength and it hasn't been bad, but it hasn't been fun per se. Rather than write because I enjoy it, I've gotten to a stage where I panic myself into writing a blog post, for fear of being considered unserious about my gift. I now know if I get off track again, doubting the ability God himself has given me, I'll come back to my focal point, Proverbs 10:11.
So when people ask, why do you blog or what do you blog about - I'll confidently stand on The Word and say "I blog Life".
Dear Lord,
Thank you for the gift of writing and thank you for the amazing things well constructed and God-influenced sentences can do.
I wasn't inspired by accident. My website isn’t just another site.
This is the place where people will come to be encouraged, inspired, entertained, laugh and get lost in the characters found in semi-fictional stories and more.
I ask that the words of my hands and the meditations of my heart regarding this blog, be acceptable and blessed by you.
May fear, procrastination (and typos) be far from me and the things I have to share. Instead, Lord, replace fear with boldness, my procrastination with action and typos with an effective spell check (proof readers welcome). And, Lord, nudge me when I need to remember to stay in my own lane. I'm not in a race with anyone.
Lord bless those who consistently add to my views and visit stats and Lord bless the new readers who will come across my website.
May this website bring life. Always. *No Luke Cage*
In Jesus Name, I have blogged.
And the church clicked like, repost, share and commented their... Amens.
If you notice a typo let me know, it's late here I should be asleep but I'm busy being inspired. 😉
